    Scott Eckart takes a unique approach to his work as a financial planner. As a well-known industry expert, Scott has been working tirelessly since 1994 to help provide his clients with comprehensive and effective solutions to their financial planning needs.

    Scott takes the time to listen to his clients through a discovery process that seeks to first understand their short and long term goals. By assembling strategies and techniques to put solutions into action, Scott continues to engage his clients every step of the way through implementation and management of this approach.

    Whether is it a closely held business owner, farming operation or a family looking to protect their loved ones, Scott focuses on the distinct value found in ensuring each individual’s unique needs are being addressed. His passion for excellence has earned him long-standing relationships as a trusted advisor to many.

    With his solid reputation as a top-performing, reliable resource, Scott is often sought-out to advise others throughout the industry. He has spoken extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada on behalf of major financial services institutions and has provided in-depth training to other industry professionals. Scott’s commitment to his work includes giving back to this community by partnering with non-profit organizations in the areas of strategic planning, planned giving and estate strategy programs.

    Scott’s passion for connecting with people is what makes him such a natural at helping people design the life they aspire to live.  His thorough process helps to provide a path for his clients to take their vision of the future and translate it into a blueprint that can be implemented in an organized and systematic fashion. 

    “I love seeing people make progress toward their goals,” says Scott.  Scott draws on years of experience as a business consultant to help people better articulate their goals and take the necessary steps to accomplish them.  His practice focuses on the needs of closely held business owners and pre-retirees, helping those clients to proactively take control of their personal, legacy, tax and gift resources. 

    In addition, Scott volunteers his knowledge of personal finance to provide financial literacy education to children and young adults.  Having benefited from strong mentors and role models in his formative years, Scott works to pay their gift forward by acting as an advisor and instructor to others. 

     Outside of work he is an avid reader and outdoor enthusiast.  On many weekends Scott can be found tending to his garden.  He and his wife, Elsa, reside in Zionsville, Indiana, and enjoy spending time with their six children and three grandchildren.

    Now well into its fourth decade, Gerald's financial services and planning practice continues to flourish. He credits its enduring success to his dedication to cultivating lasting relationships with clients. "For me, success is defined by providing advice and service that go above and beyond expectations, empowering clients to confidently reach their financial and personal goals," Gerald explains. 

    As the Founding Partner of Veritas Financial, he leads a firm dedicated to serving a broad spectrum of client needs, including wealth management, financial planning, insurance, and executive benefits. "Our mission is to help clients gain a clear understanding of what matters most to them, empowering them to live the life they envision while effectively managing risks. Financial mastery is a continuous journey, and we are deeply committed to supporting clients at every stage of their financial lives," he emphasizes. 

    Thanks to his collaborative approach, clients benefit from a holistic strategy made possible through his partnerships with other specialists in the industry. They also gain from Gerald’s extensive knowledge in risk management and his dedicated focus on addressing their unique needs. "I assist my clients in tackling the financial challenges they know require attention but may lack the time or inclination to address. These synergies truly serve our clients," Gerald shares. 

    A core focus of Gerald’s practice is working with innovative business owners, which inspired him to co-found The Velocity Coaching Program. As Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) and Certified Business Family Business Specialist (CFBS) Gerald is uniquely equipped to provide value acceleration, continuity and succession planning for closely held and family owned businesses. 

    Gerald received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Radford University. He is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and the Greater Washington Society of Financial Service Professionals. He was President of the Mass Mutual Advisors Association, which is a network of 9,000 advisors. 

    Along with the CEPA and CFBS designations, Gerald has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®), and Certified Long Term Care Specialist (CLTC) from The American College in Bryn Mawr, PA.

    Beyond his professional life, Gerald and his wife, Michele, embrace their newfound role as empty nesters by traveling extensively and cherishing time with family. Passionate about sports, Gerald enjoys attending various sporting events. The couple resides in Lansdowne, Virginia, where they have been deeply involved in their community. Gerald has particularly valued the years he spent coaching his son’s and daughter’s sports teams, leaving a lasting impact on young athletes. 

  • Project Manager

    Drew Olssen is the Project Manager for Velocity Coaching, supporting Scott Eckart and Gerald Radican.  Drew graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Hillsdale College in 2024 with a degree in Financial Management and a minor in accounting. Drew handles all the aspects of new client onboarding and scheduling. Drew oversees the production of "Future Proof" the podcast of Velocity Coaching and is the main contact for the show.  Drew is an avid baseball player and fan and can also be found hitting the golf links as well. You can ask him just about anything about either of those sports and he will tell you everything you need to know. Drew is a lifelong resident of Indianapolis, he and his partner Alli, who also graduated from Hillsdale plan on making Indianapolis their home as they begin their professional careers.
